Every time you cast a massive Hydra or a powerful "X" spell like Villainous Wealth or Exsanguinate, Zaxara creates an additional Hydra token with X counters on it. You aren't just getting one threat; you're getting a whole army. With Gargos, Vicious Watcher making your Hydras cheaper and Corpsejack Menace doubling their size, your board state will quickly become an unstoppable force. We designed this as a Bracket 2 deck (Core level).

⚔️ Core Strategy:

Harness the power of scaling threats. Early game, focus on ramping with Sakura-Tribe Elder and mana rocks to get Zaxara onto the field by turn 3 or 4. Once your commander is active, every spell you cast is a "two-for-one." Use Pull from Tomorrow or Stroke of Genius on an opponent's end step to refill your hand while creating a massive blocker. Finish the game by making your army unblockable with Open into Wonder or simply draining the table for the win with a lethal Exsanguinate.
