🔮 How It Plays:

Swarm the battlefield and drain the life from your enemies with Lathril, Blade of the Elves! This Golgari (Black/Green) deck focuses heavily on Elf tribal synergies. The goal is to generate massive amounts of mana using cheap "mana dorks," pump up Lathril so she creates a massive army of 1/1 Elf tokens when she connects for combat damage, and then use her devastating activated ability to tap 10 elves and drain each opponent for 10 life. We designed this as a Bracket 2 deck (Core level).

⚔️ Core Strategy:

Start the game by dropping 1-cost mana elves like Llanowar Elves and Elvish Mystic. Accelerate quickly into your commander or tribal lords like Elvish Archdruid and Imperious Perfect. Once Lathril is on the field, use combat tricks like Wirewood Pride to boost her power, generating a massive amount of tokens when she deals damage. If combat isn't working, simply sit back, leave your elves untapped, and use Lathril's ability—or drop a Shaman of the Pack—to melt your opponents' life totals directly. Use Wrap in Vigor or Snakeskin Veil to protect your vital pieces from board wipes and removal!
